Bleeding from the anal area! But not painful? This may be hemorrhoids (piles). Take measures early even if you do not feel a pain!

Have you ever experienced slight bleeding from your anal area or had a blood stain on the toilet paper with little pain? In such cases, first suspect hemorrhoids (piles) inside the anus (internal hemorrhoids).

Hemorrhoids (piles) formed inside the anus (in the rectum) (internal hemorrhoids) cause bleeding after defecation. It is said that people tend to leave internal hemorrhoids because this area is less likely to cause pain.

More than half of adults suffer from hemorrhoids. Among them, the most common one is said to be internal hemorrhoidsNote). People often leave them untreated due to little pain, but it worsens the symptoms and surgery may be required. Try to take care of them in the early stage.

How to deal with hemorrhoids:
(1) Pay attention to your usual lifestyle including your diet.
(2) Use an over-the-counter (OTC) drug.
(3) Consult a specialist such as a proctologist.

Please adopt an appropriate care method based on your condition at the time, such as the frequency and severity of bleeding, discomfort around the rectum and anus, and other relevant issues.

Note) There are various opinions about the number of patients.
