Rinnai Corporation, which develops, manufactures, and markets thermal energy equipments, classified bathing habits into four types focusing on time and temperature, based on the results of a survey on the "actual conditions of bathing habits in Japan, and their correlation with health status".

Among them, the recommended safe and healthy bathing style is the "Healthy simple bath" in 10 minutes or less at temperature of 40°C or less. However, only about 20% of the people were practicing this bathing method.

There seem to be many people who like the other bathing styles such as "Edo-style bath," "Heatstroke bath," and "Relaxing long bath," but considering the burden on your body, it seems better to avoid them.

It was found that people who practiced "Healthy simple bath" were less bothered by many items, such as stiff shoulders, headache, constipation, sweating, and thinning hair, than other bathing types.
