Proper use of suppositories [shown in video]

How to use suppositories

  • [1] First, maintain a half-crouching position, and hold the bottom of the suppository. Insert the tip of the suppository into the anus.
  • [2] After insertion, press the suppository firmly until it is detached from the fingertip.
  • [3] Then, when you stand up, it is inserted smoothly.

[Precautions]

  • The tip of the suppository is round.
  • If it is difficult to maintain a half-crouching position, you can lie down.

How to store suppositories

The suppository should be stored in a standing position with the tip (rounded side) facing down basically in an environment of 1-30℃.

There is a reason for this. In the manufacturing process, there is a little space at the top of the container of the suppository. Suppositories soften when the storage temperature exceeds 30℃, and dissolve and become liquid when the temperature rises further. If they are not stored in the correct orientation, this space may move and cause deformation.

For this reason, many suppositories have an "Upper" mark on the outer box so that you can know which side should be upper from the outside of the box. Check the mark and store properly.

The image shows that the suppository should be stored in a standing position with the tip facing down.

Do not store in a freezer where the temperature is below 0℃.

Points of correct storage

  • Store at 1-30℃
  • Store the suppository in a standing position with the tip facing down (Check "Upper" mark of the outer box).
  • Do not store in freezer.
